My Heart is FULL

Thursday was our Relief Soceity Christmas Dinner, I had such a good time. I miss Kim so much since I had been put in Relief Society we dont get to goof around so much. I also had a great time with all the women at my table, all of which I admire. Craig and the boys came and got me at 8:15 and we got home at 8:30. I got the boys to bed and ready to go bed myself when I heard a noise that was far distant and had some sort of vibration to it. Thinking it was nothing I proceeded to get into bed while Craig stayed in the playroom studying. An hour later my windows rattled with sirens and tons of patrol cars outside. I told Craig I was going outside to see what happned. As I looked to my left I saw my neighbors door open ---his door faces ours at the second building ( that is how close it was ) and a huge LSU cop standing at its doorway. The paramedics came they stayed in awhile, while they were inside the cops came out and started putting up crimescene tape. I felt has if I was going to throw up, I knew that it was serious. Then I watched as a LSU cop walked a women around the corner, she was in shock and also had some blood on her pants. I couldn't believe it. I then knew someone was dead and the sound I heard was indeed gunfire. The woman they escorted was the wife of the man who lived in the apartment. She was pregnant with their first child. She came home and discovered the bodies. I would see my neighbor outside always smoking his cigarettes and talking on his cellphone. He always waved to the boys and smiled. At 12:30 and I still waited outside to hear what happened so I could try to sleep without worry. The bunch of us were told that two men where dead and that we should all go inside so that we dont have to see them take the bodies out in body bags. My neighbor and his friend where killed. My neighbor killed first, ( the shot I heard ) the friend bound with computer wire and shot execution style. When they told us the news I can remember disctinctly the feelings I had has I looked at that big cop who gaurded the doorway and thinking the horrific scene that he was staring at. Tears filled my eyes and fear came over me. I ran inside told Craig the details and wept. I asked Craig to please pray and ask for safety. I asked him to bless our home with the Spirit and that EVIL WOULD NOT DARE ENTER. As he prayed I felt the calming assurance of the Holy Ghost come upon my home. I went into my boys bedroom and brought them in bed with me that night. I did not sleep much. The next night we slept at Craigs parents house and tonight was the first night back since the murders. As we drove in the parking lot, cops are everywhere ( I feel alot more safe tonight then ever before ) We parked the car and I looked over at my neighbors apartment, it still has the crimescence tape up and the lights on. I started crying, I just couldnt believe how fast life is and I am so thankful for my Savior and the knowledge I have of this gospel. I read tonight the story in the Book of Mormon about Alma and Amulek and about the believers and the scriptures that where going to be burned in the fire in front of them. Men women and children were thrown into the fire. Amulek asked Alma saying How can we watch this aweful scene?Let us strecth out our hands and exerise the power of God. Alma replied The spirit restraineth me, behold the Lord recieveth them up unto himself, in glory, and that the actions of the wicked will be upon them in his wrath may be just and the blood of the innocent shall stand as a witness. This scripture brought peace to my heart. Like the first Picture above, he received them up unto himself. I told Craig that I am not going to let evil destroy my home. This is my home for now and I will protect it. May we all pray for the families of this tragedy. I told Craig, that it might be a long shot, but I pray that one of those three men, somewhere have a conscience and he will turn himself in.

So I apologize for the month's lapse in my posting. We got to fly out to Sacramento, CA the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Myron got to met who we named him after, his great grandfaher. It was so enjoyable, we stayed at Craigs Aunt Laura's house and I got to meet 6 out of her seven children. I got along with them so great. Three of them ( Dusty, Rain, and Renee) and me went shopping on Black Friday. I got some good deals but i couldnt get everything I wanted since there is 50lbs weight limit with the luggage now. Then we took Myron to what is called Fairytown land and I was thinking to myself do I really want to take my son to " Fairytown land" haha it sounded so gay to me but it was really fun, They had slides ,animals , and crooked path to run and everything from Old Mother Hubbard, Peter Cotton Tail, Cinderella and her coach, to the Wizard of Oz. We flew home Sunday and I have not stopped since. Ethan got a virus, probably on the plane and for two nights did not sleep. So I got a total of 2 hours in 48 hours so terrible, when he did sleep Myron was awake. So mommy was a total zombie. I was laying there thinking watching Myron play I wish there could be one more of me. haha. Ethan is alot better now and also he is standing by himself so i guessed before Myrons 2nd birthday he will be walking. I cant believe how fast my boys are growing up. It seems when your second one comes time just flies by. I dont know it is wierd. Craig is doing well in School he has a 4.0 gpa this semster and he is Applying to dental school. So if he gets in we will follow the Mangums footsteps and move to the BIG EASY. I will love to live by my sister again esp since she will be having her baby this summer. Well talk to you later and I hope everyone is having a Wonderful Holiday Season so far!!!

I have to say that the Fall is my most favorite part of the year. I was so excited to actually go trick or treating this year. This was Myron first year, last year he had croup, it was aweful we were in the emergency room because he couldnt breath. So we got the pumpkins carved them and went to the Sanders home. I will always go to Shennadoah to go trick or treating. We have enough candy to last us till next year. haha. Myron was a boxer this year and Ethan was superman. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

My favorite, seeing him in his white. I am so proud of my brother. I love him so much. He is such an amazing person. He is soo talented and I feel so very blessed to have him as my brother. He is such a spiritual giant. I know he is so far past me on the spiritual scale it is ridiculas. He is by far one of MY HEROS!!! He left when Myron was 5 months when he left and he hasnt meet Ethan. I am so excited for my boys to meet him. He has 9 months left and He is not even thinking of coming home. He says he gets sick thinking about having to come home and taking off his name tag.

LSU Golden Band from Tigerland

This was the sign on the Smoothie King on campus for the LSU vs Tulane game. I thought it was hilarous.

Well this is for all you LSU fans. ( Bart Remington) Everyday Tues through Friday at 3:30 pm, the kids getting woken up from there naps by whom? Yes the Golden Band from Tiger Land. Myron jumps up says "ouside" and says LSU, which sounds like "L" "S" "shoes". So he marches from the apartment to the bleachers where the band practices. It is soo fun. The other day Myron's cousin Annabelle came over and they watched the band perform. That was such a fun day. He loves Annabelle.

Well we are offically in football season. I LOVE LSU FOOTBALL. I HATE PRO FOOTBALL!!!! We had such a good time at LSU v VT game. ESPN was here and it was so fun. Myron and Ethan had a great time. Craig always tells me how lucky he is to be married to someone who love football.
